Crop Microclimate Management was founded with the goal of providing solutions to the problems of abiotic stress to growers. Our focus is on reducing crop loss from excess heat, light, cold, drought, and conditions that cause fruit sunburn. Our company is focused on two opportunities to reduce stress: avoidance and tolerance. Products such as SCREEN™ reduce stress by modifying the microclimate that the crop is subjected to. By reflecting harmful radiation, we can keep crops cooler. Or by selectively releasing heat, we keep crops warmer. Truly crop microclimate management! We also conduct research into improved stress management solutions. We are also developing products that manipulate plant biochemistry to activate stress tolerance mechanisms. The result of these solutions are higher yields, improved crop quality, such as larger fruit, less sunburn, and increased crop quality, such as higher Brix. The benefits to growers include higher quality, earlier, more uniform harvest. That all equals a higher return to growers.
